Summer STEAMcation & Summer STEAMcation XT

Through week-long enrichment camps, students will have the opportunity to explore themes in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Students will immerse themselves in units of study that foster creativity and discovery-based learning. In the mornings, campers will be immersed in hands-on and inquiry-based learning in our STEAM Studio classrooms, and the afternoons will include enjoying indoor and outdoor games and activities, as well as visits to local parks. These camps meet for nine weeks during the summer.

Modifications for Phase 3 of Restore Illinois Plan (from IDPH and CUPHD) - Guidelines and policies may be updated as we move through the Restore Illinois plan.

• Camps groups have staggered drop-off and pick-up times to assist in limiting large groups from assembling. These times are given by group assignment and are determined by school administration. We cannot accept preferences at this time. Drop-Off | 8:15-8:45 a.m. or 8:45-9:15 a.m. Pick-Up | 3:30-4:00 p.m. or 4:00-4:30 p.m.
• Campers are required to have masks to wear daily and bring a pair of shoes to change into on campus and wear while at camp. Shoes can be stored in their camp classroom. Classroom environments and planned activities have been modified to encourage and maintain social distancing and help minimize mask wearing.
• Swimming trips have been suspended, but other outdoor trips to local parks and nature areas, outdoor and indoor games and activities, and water play activities have been modified and substituted to make the afternoons full of summer fun!
• Group size is currently limited to 10 students.

Summer STEAMcation meets for NINE weeks over the course of the summer.

Camp Times | 8:30-4:30 p.m. with staggered drop off and pick up times pending group placement

*The program is closed on 7/3 and during the week of 7/6-7/10.

Students must have completed kindergarten and be entering 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th grade in 2020-2021 school year.
