Transitional Kindergarten

The Transitional Kindergarten program at Next Generation School is designed specifically for students with late fall and early winter birthdays.

It is a blend of preschool and kindergarten that is perfectly matched to meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of children in this age group. Each child’s day is filled with rich and exciting opportunities to develop and grow. A portion of each day is set aside for direct math and language instruction. During this time, children explore activities that are designed to foster development and encourage academic growth.

Students explore social studies through theme-based units, a science curriculum taught by a science specialist, and literacy skills with a reading and language specialist. Science, music, art, and Spanish instruction ensure that our Transitional Kindergarten students are ready for Primary School.
