Positions for Hire

STEAM Teaching Assistant

Next Generation School is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our after-school STEAM Studio enrichment program this August for the semester or school year.  Teaching assistants will provide high quality care for small groups of students each day from 3:30-5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday while working with a certified teacher in an exciting educational and creative setting. Previous experience working with children and daily availability is preferred. Candidates over 21 years of age with clean driving records have the option for additional hours driving a 14-passenger bus from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday picking up students at their schools for the program.  Additional working hours for candidates are also available during school holiday breaks.

Hours: 3:30-5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday; Candidates over 21 years of age can work extended hours 1:30-5:45 p.m. by driving a short bus route

Starting Rate: $10.50 per hour

After School ACE Counselor

Next Generation is looking for outgoing, responsible, and reliable caregivers for our in-house after school program, ACE, in August for the semester or school year. Education majors are preferred, but not required. Candidates should have excellent child management skills and create a fun and friendly environment. Job requirements include keeping children safe and following safety protocol stringently, planning games and simple activities for students submitted in weekly lesson plans, and working with co-counselors in a professional manner. Counselors work with a small group of students in grades K-5. Candidates must be 18 years or older. Additional hours are available on NO SCHOOL days, as we run day camp programs for students called STEAMcations. ACE Counselors also have the opportunity to transition into Summer STEAMcation counselors for full- or part-time work during the summer. ACE counselors may also continue for subsequent semesters and/or have additional work opportunities offered during the school day.

Hours: 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Starting Rate: $10.50 per hour

Preschool Teaching Positions

We are currently accepting resumes for the following positions:

Next Generation Preschool is looking for a full-time music teacher, full time classroom teachers, and substitute teachers. If you have a passion for teaching and a gift for inspiring young minds, we are looking for you. We are currently seeking individuals to join our outstanding team of teachers. Applicants must have a solid understanding of the state curriculum standards and have experience working with children ages three through five. Development of engaging and innovative lessons that allow our students to grow academically, socially and emotionally is required, as well as incorporating hands-on learning experiences into the classroom with enthusiasm. The ideal candidate also believes in collaboration with other colleagues and promotes understanding and communication in a diverse learning and cultural environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create daily lesson plans and learning activities for students based on state, local and school standards in early education.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in the form of discussion, direct teaching, hands-on learning, demonstrations and independent practice using a variety of methods.
  • Differentiate lessons when needed to give all students access to the curriculum regardless of ability, instructional level, English proficiency or level of interest in the subject.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly and supportive classroom by modeling expected behavior and standards and promoting positive interactions.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or another related field
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Comfort in a team environment

Early Education Spanish Teacher

Next Generation Early Education is looking for a full-time Spanish Teacher to work with children ages 6 weeks to 2 years. If you have a passion for teaching and a gift for inspiring young minds and would like to join an outstanding team of teachers, we are looking for you! Reading Specialist

Next Generation Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten is seeking a reading specialist. The ideal candidate will have an early childhood or elementary education degree with a reading specialist degree, a love of reading and children, as well as knowledge and experience of the reading process and working with children ages three through five years old.

The primary duties and responsibilities for this position will be:

  • Teaching whole group reading lessons
  • Teaching targeted literacy small group
  • Managing school library
  • Helping teachers analyze data from language arts assessments to diagnose reading strengths and weaknesses, and match these skills with appropriate techniques
  • Work with classroom teachers to facilitate the coordination of the reading curriculum

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with education and experience.

Experience: Two years of teaching experience required, one year of reading specialist experience preferred
