Early Education FAQs
Where is Next Generation School Early Education located?
Next Generation Early Education has two separate buildings. Our building on Windsor Road provides care for infants, toddlers, and two- and three-year old children. Our building on Galen Drive, adjacent to Next Generation Primary and Middle School, has our All-Star (preschool) classrooms for children ages three through five. All of the Next Generation buildings are within easy walking distance of each other. The All-Star and Primary/Middle School buildings share a parking lot.
Are there areas for outside play?
Children enjoy outdoor play (weather permitting) twice a day. We have multiple play areas with age and developmentally appropriate structures and activities. Additionally, two parks are within easy walking distance of our buildings. We also have an in-ground swimming pool that the older children enjoy during the summer months.
How secure is the facility?
Next Generation takes the responsibility of keeping our children safe very seriously. At both Early Education buildings, the front door is the only entrance that our families use. This allows the most effective monitoring of who enters and exits the building. Upon entering either building, parents are required to enter a security code. All outer doors and gates are kept locked at all times.
What types of meal arrangements are there?
For infants/toddlers on formula or baby food, we ask that parents provide the school with sufficient amounts for the length of time your child is in our care each day. We meet the children's nutritional needs for the part of the day that they spend with us by providing a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack. We serve a nutritionally-balanced lunch that includes lean protein, whole grains, vegetables, and fruits. We do not serve red meat, pork or processed foods. Out of consideration for families' dietary preferences, we offer three menus from which to choose: regular, meatless, or meatless-no dairy/no egg. According to DCFS standards, supplemental snacks, meals, or drinks cannot be brought to school unless it is for medical or religious reasons.
