Application Process
Families interested in Next Generation School receive informational materials and an application. After evaluating these materials, parents may sign up for a tour.
Tours are led by Ms. Erin Tarr, our Associate Director, and are given throughout the week at 9:00 a.m. or by appointment. An application must be completed prior to the tour.
At the conclusion of the tour, parents are asked to pay the $50 application fee if they would like to continue with the application process.
Prospective primary and middle school students will then proceed with the assessment process, which consists of a full-day visit to the school and assessments in language arts and mathematics. We also request the student’s most recent report card and contact information for current teachers.

ENROLLMENT
Applications for enrollment are accepted during the course of the school year, as well as during the summer. Once our classrooms are fully enrolled, we maintain a wait list for prospective students.
Next Generation School enrolls students ages five through fourteen years of age. However, age is only one of the factors used in placement. We assess students and place them in the classroom that is the best social and academic fit for them.
Our maximum enrollment is 265 students.
We have one classroom per grade level, Primary A (Kindergarten) through eighth grade. There is a maximum of 30 students per classroom, with two teachers in each Primary School classroom. Middle School classes have a maximum of 30 students; each class is divided into groups of 15 students.
